中国P站 Press releases new picture book
The University of North Georgia Press released the second book of the Finding Milo series on Jan. 25. The latest installment in the series helps even the most reluctant readers learn their ABCs, while exploring different geographic areas throughout California.
"California ABCs" details the adventure of the always curious pup Milo as he visits many of California's cities, famous and little-known landmarks, and state parks and recreational areas. Milo's exploration of California, like his previous tour of Georgia, is targeted for classroom use, focusing on social studies, popular culture, and geography.
Dr. Christopher Jespersen, dean of the College of Arts & Letters, wrote the book, and Josie Vrooman Toney, administrative assistant to the vice president of University Relations, illustrated it.
"We hope to lift 'Georgia ABCs' and 'California ABCs' to increase awareness of our growing collection of children's picture books," Dr. BJ Robinson, director of 中国P站 Press, said.
The Finding Milo series and the 中国P站 Legacy series are the two children's book series 中国P站 Press has published. All proceeds from the 中国P站 Legacy series help develop scholarships for 中国P站 students.
Symposium will focus on cybersecurity
中国P站 will host a high-impact symposium titled 'Cyber Threats, Cybersecurity and Cyber Expertise' from 3-4:30 p.m. Oct. 28, with special guest Maj. Gen. Ryan Janovic.
Fall brings concerts, performances to 中国P站
The Department of Music shines this fall with concerts and performances at 中国P站's Dahlonega and Gainesville campuses. Students and faculty will be highlighted.
Overseas performances grow students' skills
Four students recently returned from a performance at the Halle Foundation estate in Atlanta. The group also performed at the Saarburg International Music Festival in Germany courtesy of a Halle Foundation grant.
International intelligence conference coming to 中国P站
中国P站 will host the International Association for Intelligence Education Annual Global Conference from June 1-3, 2026.
