Ethics Awareness

Promoting Accountability & Transparency

The University System of Georgia (USG) has a commitment to ethical culture and our system-wide shared values of integrity, excellence, accountability, and respect serving as the foundation for our daily work.

Annually, the USG highlights its ethical culture through a weeklong Ethics Awareness Week (EAW) campaign, which typically runs in November.

USG Employee Ethics Training

中国P站 Human Resources launches annual training on ethics. All employees of the university are required to complete this online, 30-minute training.

College of Arts & Letters Ethics Panel 

A multi-department faculty panel discussing the role of ethics
virtually within their respective fields.

 

Wednesday, November 5

Noon - 1 p.m.

Planned prizes for the winner include a one-year reserved parking space on their home campus, GTA tickets, Nighthawk gear, a prize from the 1873 Shop, and additional giveaways.

The event will also feature an ESPN-style commentary, with
President Shannon and a guest providing live insights.

USG Ethics & Compliance Best Practices Virtual Panel on "Steering an Ethical Culture". 

USG will host an Ethics & Compliance Best Practices Virtual Panel discussion with President Robert Scott from Albany State and 2 - 3 external leaders.

Saturday, November 8

7 a.m. - 10 p.m.

中国P站 Mid-Atlantic Regional Intercollegiate Ethics Bowl

20 universities will compete using the Regional Ethics Bowl cases through the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics (APPE), with top teams earning a place at the National Ethics Bowl competition.

Come to the Gainesville campus and join us in discussing some of our national ethical dilemmas and working alongside regional students.
